Tracker pagination fails in AJAX
I have a tracker with 80 items and one with 200 items. Latest code from SVN (updated 6/24). Pagination fails completely - sometimes page 3 works, sometimes it doesn't. Page 2 fails all the time (that is - no movement) This is with ajax on: firebug reports POST: xajax=loadComponent&xajaxr=1214318443517&xajaxargs[]=tiki-view_tracker.tpl&xajaxargs[]=tiki-center Even thought the param for offset is right, the data returned is always the same page I just sent. As a result, nothing happens! Is there a way to turn ajax off in trackers only? Without Ajax, the page changes, and if I manually put the URL in with the right offset, it goes to the right page More details- The error appears to be tied to the "insert new item" tab of a linked item. IE reports an XML error, as does Firefox. The firefox console says this: Error: not well-formed Source File: http://www.casesofinterest.com/tiki/tiki-view_tracker.php?trackerId=8&offset=10 Line: 606, Column: 46 Source Code: <option value="Technology and the Demand for Skill - An Analysis of Within an The green arrow points to between the S and k in "Skill". Note the extra space - none appears in the linked field. Even when I got rid of that item, AJAX pagination fails, but this time without a console error. What happens is that the window doesn't resize, and I get a "windowWidth is not defined" error, and the tabs never form. |

Sheet: Boolean expressions display wrong
In TikiSheet: I'm trying to have 'T' or 'true' shown when two other columns have the same value. But =(H3==K3) when saved shows "true=(H2=". Note the truncation; the truncated stuff shows up in the expression field on the edit screen. Before being saved the cell shows 'true'. Adding a conditional ("?:") ex Also, a spreadsheet could not have rows added to it until a similar expression was removed from the spreadsheet. |

Add Google Analytics setup as an option in the admin panel.
It's very easy to add manually by editing templates/footer.tpl, it would be nicer to have the _uacct saved in the database with the rest of the settings. Upgrades would be easier for site admins. Please see: https://www.google.com/support/analytics/bin/answer.py?answer=55488 This would be similar to gmap. Related: http://dev.tikiwiki.org/tiki-view_tracker_item.php?trackerId=5&itemId=1177 Maybe this feature request could be even more generic to include easy ways to add other services and/or make it easy to use with open source apps like phpOpenTracker or phpMyVisites. http://www.phpmyvisites.us also recommends putting the code just before /body> Also, there should be a way to exclude certain or all groups from tracking. If I use 1 Tiki for a public website and and Intranet, I don't want my Intranet traffic to pollute my public site stats. I could just want anonymous users to be tracked. Also, let's integrate more tightly with the new [http://www.google.com/analytics/GATCmigrationguide.pdf|ga.js] code so we can track downloaded files, and take advantage of other nice stats. |

Automatically fill in field when creating new links
Some users don't want to understand the difference between "Page Name" and Link when creating an internal link. This attached patch makes the Page Name field automatically fill in whenever the Link field is changed. The patch was made against tw 4.1. I think it should be up for debate if both these fields are necessary. Many users of the WYSIWYG feature may be new to the concept of creating links. Less is simpler, and I vote for removing one of these fields. P.S. Sorry about spamming the mailinglist with this request. Next time I will only submit patch here. |

File button in CKEditor WYSIWYG not working for IE 8
This bug is seen by our IE 8 clients. We are running Tiki 6.2 (clean install), on a Windows 2003 Server, Apache 2.2.16 w SSL, PHP 5.3.3, remote MySQL 5 database. When our users are editing in the CKEditor WYSIWYG and try the File option in the toolbar there is a Javascript error for lib/jquery_tiki/tiki-jquery.js at line 808 char 4. What is happening after the error is thrown is that no new window is opened (as expected) but the File selection fields are now under the WYSIWYG Editor. This wouldnt be an issue, but there is no OK button to select the file so our users can not like to a file in the File Gallery. If I try using the File option in FF then it opens a new window and I can select the file just fine. Since IE is our corp standard our users need to be able to add files using that browser. Also, they had no problem in Tiki 5.x but that was a different WYSIWYG system. Thanks, Tim |

Fix usability of Features selection page
on the features selection page there is a checkbox for each feature with its name next to it. In normal Web UIs a checkbox is next to a <label> tag which contains the text referring to the setting the checkbox controls. If you set up the name= and title= for both the input and the label then clicking that text automatically selects the checkbox. This is not always implemented properly across the web but it is the way forms are supposed to be used and it is easy and no one ever complains about it. It increases the effective size of the checkbox and cements the relationship with the word. On the features selection page, however, the text instead links to the tikiwiki.org descriptions of the features. This confused me and happened several times before I retaught myself to not click the words. |

Give the process an option of using the instance ID as the instance name
Currently, when you create a process and initiate an instance, the user is prompted to name the instance, presumably as some way they can remember it in their own jumble of process instances (or tickets, as I like to call them). I would like the admin to have the ability of eliminating that need on a per-process basis, and instead automatically naming the instance with the instance ID. This should give people the flexibility, if they want, to allow the user to create a memorable moniker, or allow it to traditionally take on a "ticket number" type of designation. It really depends on the environment that the workflow is being used in. In a high-volume workplace, it may be best to use a ticketing style of identification. In a smaller-volume workplace, I can definitely see how custom names would be beneficial. If I get time, I'll work on this. |

IE 8 and DD_belatedPNG.js
Obviously: DD_belatedPNG fix is enabled by default on the site logo and is intended for IE 6 only. The IE 6 check is in lib/setup/js_detect.php strpos($_SERVER['HTTP_USER_AGENT'], 'MSIE 6') !== false The problem with this is that IE 8 will also get detected, check this: --- Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; __MSIE 8.0__; Windows NT 6.1; Trident/4.0; Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; __MSIE 6.0__; Windows NT 5.1; SV1) ; SLCC2; .NET CLR 2.0.50727; Media Center PC 6.0; .NET CLR 3.5.30729; .NET CLR 3.0.30729; .NET CLR 1.1.4322) --- The bug with all this lies in the fact that IE 8 shows a few js errors on DD_belatedPNG.js on each page load and that could prevent IE from submitting. |

Problem in image gallery browsing - images don't show - a javascript issue? The default image set for the 'preview' image is an image called imagestest.gif I guess javascript fanciness is intended to replace this value with the real source value If I'm right, this would be asking for bugs, compared to actually providing the value in the page contents - what if people don't have javascript? Javascript toggle is broken
In tiki_categories-admin.tpl, the javascript function toggle is used to toggle tree nodes for subcategories. However, that function appears in two places - PHPLayers menu and tiki-js. Ouch. This worked in 1.9 and is broken in 1.10 Same is true for the debug console and (I suspect) anything else that uses the toggle function. I isolated the problem - I added the browse categories module - that includes phplayers-tiki.php, which includes lib/phplayers, which has the toggle function... More tracking found the problem - it is in lib/phplayers/lib/treemenu.inc.php the makeNewTree function looks for a menu_name variable that is added to the toggle function name. This works for the standard category view. However, somewhere along the line the name isn't passed properly in categories module. The other complication is that the normal category browsing page doesn't work right with this module. Oddly, phplayers is not included in the 1.10 head download, so I don't get it. |

New module: search page name, search text, edit page
In the early days of TikiWiki, we used a bunch of modules (last_modified_wiki_pages, last_articles, Last this, Last that, etc.) to show recent changes to visitors. We ended up with many modules and it was cluttered. All this became a lot better once the "Since your last visit" module came around to adding all the features. As a bonus, it checks permissions and shows the information since the user's last login. Very sweet. Now, I am hoping to get to the same result for the many edit/input boxes. In version 3.0, the quick_edit module checks (with Ajax) for names of existing wiki pages to edit. This avoids duplication. Great stuff. Wikipedia does something similar when you are searching for a page name. I almost always have the search box on. However, I also add "search page name" because the general search engine may not return the page I am looking for as the search result. Here is an idea: A new module which combines three modules: search_wiki_page search_new quick_edit See top right of http://moinmo.in/ for an example. The action buttons are grayed out until text is entered in the text box. -> Very nice Button should be WYSIWYCA See top-right search box at: http://www.ohloh.net/projects/tikiwiki http://www.wikicreole.org/ __Alternatively, we could combine search page name and search text, and in the search results, we would first show pages names, and then, search text. This involves more work, but could be better for the end user UI.__ ^I think the existing layout for the search top right in TW is fundamentally good. A text box, then a drop-down then a button. Why because the drop down is more future proof than any of the layouts from the other sites you reference. If we make the contents of the drop down easy to customise or at the very least document how to add to it. For example the CRM function could add items to the drop down for "Contacts" and "Accounts", webmail could add "Mail Messages" and so on. I do agree the wikipage create/edit module should be included in the top right search function. I think this is an example of where considering the future openness of the solution would be very important - MatWho^ {THUMB(id=98)}{THUMB} |

When you rollover any of the phplayers horiz menu, causing the menu to popup, and then subsequently try to use an overlib, e.g. the userlink popup that appears when you rollover the name of a user, the overlib will fail with javascript error "windowWidth is not a function". The reason is because phplayers layersmenu.js (or if you have copied its contents into another file like layersmeny-header.ijs) defines windowWidth as it works, destroying the overlib function. |

Replace _blank (links opening a new window) by a XHTML alternative
There are several places in Tiki code where target="_blank" is used. The Transitional versions of the specifications still include it, but by definition, these specs are on the way out. Whatever your personal feelings on the practice, the most common application for this attribute -- opening a link in a new browser window with target="_blank" -- is still useful on today's Internet. User prefs for privacy ignored if using InterTiki
Workflow.tikiwiki.org is running 1.9.8.3. I was playing around with InterTiki settings and enabled pulling of UserPrefs from the master site. Web Auth Needs Some Fine Tuning
With Web Auth there are some issues with conflicting features and the User Administration Process. 1) FEATURE REQUEST: Should be able to point to the relevant file that contains the .htpasswd information. It would be outstanding if TikiWiki could parse/edit this file so it can also act as a front end for user password control and distribution. TWiki does this. 2) BUG/CONFLICT When adding users to TikIWiki, the username naturally has to match the username already set for the .htpasswd file. However, one is not allowed to set a 0-length password for that user. This appears to force the admin to enter _something_ but it also appears that this something has no effect<?> The user who logs in to the htpasswd protected realm will naturally be logged into the TikiWiki account with the same name (as described) but the different password is irrelevant. |
